Plant Manager

Westaff is in need of a Plant Manager for a manufacturing client in Plattsburgh,
New York. Reporting directly to the Vice-President Operations, the Plant Manager
will manage the operational efficiency of the manufacturing facility, leading  
through example and establishing a culture of continuous improvement in a safe 
working environment.The Plant Manager is involved in both the pre-production   
(planning) stage as well as the production stage (control and supervision). A  
large part of the function requires dealing with people reporting with full    
support for QA, HR, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing activities and Finance.  
The Plant Manager will also: Manage and drive site deliverables, with          
responsibility for both human and material resources. Develop employee knowledge
through training, team work and job flexibility; Oversee the production process
ensuring production is cost effective, products produced are on time and are   
meeting quality standards. To assume responsibility for equipment maintenance  
and assist in the selection of new equipment; Liaising with other Senior Staff 
members from Corporate. Implement company policies and goals; Ensure that Health
and Safety guidelines are respected by all employees. To review the performance
of subordinates and take appropriate corrective measures when necessary and  motivate staff. Will also assist with new business opportunities. Requirements 
include a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Electronics. Must  
have 5 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing which includes the direct    
supervision of employees. Excellent communication and motivation skills and the
ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner. Excellent computer and
